The Kababayan Internship Program is a recently developed program that is designed for general members to grow as leaders, play a bigger role in shaping Kababayan as an organization, and expose general members to Kababayan Board and its responsibilities.
The format of the internship program this year was designed to give a broad exposure to the different positions on Kababayan board and to how we plan for our organization. Interns are selected for a period of 12 weeks. Each intern is assigned a position to shadow. With these positions, the interns work with the current position holders to plan and execute programming and to have their own input into Kababayan’s programming. The interns shadow the Peer Academic Mentor Coordinator, Alumni Liaison, Cultural Coordinators, Community Advocacy Coordinator, Coalition Liaison, Events Coordinator, Historian, Publicist, and Sports Coordinator.
