KDT

KDT is Kababayan at UC Irvine’s Kultural Dance Troupe, and our purpose is to spread cultural awareness of Pilipino dances and perform them as seen in our annual Pilipino-American Culture Night a.k.a. PACN. The dances originate from the Moro, Traditionalist, Rural, Kordilyera, & Maria Clara suites, and we perform for different communities and private events, or maybe even just for fun!

If you are interested in performing:
You do NOT need any experience to be a part of it, nor do you need to try out. KDT is purely made up of volunteers and people interested in more about these dances, so we encourage anyone & everyone to join, dance, & most especially bond with your fellow Kababayan! :D

If you are interested in a KDT Request:
For scheduling a request, we ask for at least a 1 month notice before the event. We perform all sorts of dances, but our most popular is Tinikling.
We have a minimum donation of $100, not including traveling expenses.
We are flexible, so please contact us if you have any questions.
